Installing the desktop preview

  • Mac: open the DMG and move doneix to the Applications folder. Apple Silicon and Intel are both supported.
  • Windows: run the EXE and choose where to install. Shortcuts are added to the Start menu and desktop.
  • The preview is not yet signed with a distribution certificate, so macOS developer verification or Windows SmartScreen may show a warning.
  • The first sign-in needs an internet connection. From 0.2.1, task titles can be kept for the signed-in account even when the app starts without a network. If OS encryption is unavailable you choose the described local storage yourself. Changes are sent to the same account once you are back online.
  • Changes made on screens that were already loaded are kept on the device and sent when you reconnect. Opening existing tasks in a fresh offline session and changing projects, boards or settings need a connection. Get new preview versions from this page.

On Linux, use the AppImage (x64). Check installer SHA-256

Desktop-only features

  • Quick add from any screen with ⌘/Ctrl + Shift + Space
  • Open or quick-add from the menu bar (tray) icon
  • Open a specific screen with doneix:// links
